Hey guys-Could you please introduce yourselves to our readers?
Hi there! We are Scott London (Harsh Vocals) Tom Melville (Clean vocals/Low Harsh vocals) Craig Mayor (Rhythm guitar) Dan Osborne (Lead Guitar) Ed Bujakowski (Bass) and Tom Cox (Drums)
How was Her Dying Regret born?
Her Dying Regret was born on the 1st of March 2012 after Me (Craig), Tom and Scott met up in a local night club and discussed music and found that we each had a common interest in the same genre of music, Metal core. After writing some songs we eventually met up in a practice room and began to play together and to our surprise it sounded quite good, we then decided to take the band more seriously and find other members to join the band.
What is the best thing about being musicians?
We love making music, meeting fans and having a sense of freedom.
How did you feel when you wrote your first EP “THE SIREN”?
When writing the EP we didn't know what direction we wanted to go in terms of what we write about so we decided to write songs about experiences or feelings that we've had in the past, the final song on the EP 'Columbus' was written about not knowing what path to take but still being able to push forward despite uncertainty.
What have you got planned next?
We have just finished recording and will be releasing our second EP in September titled "Legacy" and the music video for the title track very soon!
Is there anyone you would like to record a duet with?
We'd like to do a collaboration with artists such as Austin Carlile or Matt Mullins from Memphis May Fire one day if we make it that far.
Who has inspired you over the years in the path of music?
Mitch Lucker, Austin Carlile, Matt Mullins, bands such as August Burns Red, Asking Alexandria & Texas In July have hugely inspired us to do what we do.
What has been the initial drive for you guys to begin playing?
We make music because we enjoy it, we've all been through tough times at some point in our lives and music has always been the thing that gets us through, we want to make music to help other people though situations like the ones we've been though ourselves and to inspire as many people as we can.
When did you find in yourselves the talent for creating music?
We discovered that we could write decent music when we formed the band, before that we all considered ourselves as fairly average musicians however after we formed our skills progressed and come together well to form the songs on our EP.
