R- Basically the band is all about the music, to put it as cheesy as it is, we all came to the band on the same background loving the same genre but each to our own tastes. Our E.P. and way of writing is addressing the issues that aren’t being touched at the moment in some ways. The E.P it’s is sort of subliminal, to do with a lot that goes on in people’s minds and how they feel and how people react to different circumstances. A lot of the tracks on there are kind of about how people build up a certain way about themselves based on what they think is fair and what’s not and just not giving a shit about what other people think.
F- It’s also taken us a while to get to where we are now. We been through 1 guitarist, vocalist and bassist and in that process we’ve been through many different sounds as a band but now we’ve stuck with something that we all love.
Can you tell us a little more about the E.P?
C- In essence we all listen to different music and we try to fit in everyone’s different loves and hates towards the metal scene at the moment and fit it all in to one sound. So our music has a really good unique sound at the moment.
K- When it comes to writing the lyrics for any of our songs, we have always tried to vary it and make it fair regards to who’s writing it, what the themes are to the song. Collectively the E.P is about battling in your head about the thoughts of right and wrong. How your anger feels in your head but you can’t let it out- it’s about releasing that tension, that aggression because for us that’s what we use the band for. As for me I have had anger issues before I was in this band and I have improved so much because I was able to get all my feeling/emotions out.
Where do you want the new album to take you?
L- For the next album musically we would like to push our playing lyrically and instrumentally, in comparison to the E.P we want it to get much much better and improve ourselves and to constantly improve or sound our stage performances. It’s a huge stepping stone and hopefully it proves just how much bigger and better we can be.
What has the response for the new album been like so far?
L- Response from the E.P so far has been absolutely massive, I mean where we were year and a half ago to now in such a small time, we are now being booked for bigger gigs, much more frequently. We have come a long way in such a short time and you can see a very huge difference in our sound and how much we have improved.
Inspired by the likes of BMTH, Miss May I, Architects, North Lane, Shields, Death Remains, Silent Screams and more, this South London based band don’t just throw some pretty goddamn shows but are also evidently all about the fans, “We love meeting fans and people who are passionate about music.”
L- Thank you to Dave for organising everything for us, as year ago we didn’t feel like we were getting anywhere and Dave found us and boosted us, he’s given us he time of day and done so much for us.
